Paul has is a Mechanical Engineer who has worked for Caterpillar for the past 21 years, including 4 years working internationally in Japan. His current position is the Market Development Consultant for the Additive Manufacturing team in Caterpillar’s Innovation and Digital Department. Previous positions have included machine and machine systems research, software development of engineering design and analysis tools, 6 Sigma Black Belt, and developing, expanding and managing engineering service and support organizations internal to Caterpillar. He has significant product development experience covering a variety of Caterpillar machines, engines and ground engaging tools. He also has deep experience in the “Virtual Product Development” space, including engine and machine system dynamics, machine performance, systems integration, advanced structural analysis, light fabrications, hydraulics, cooling, sound, design process improvement, correlation of analysis and test data, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Additionally, he has a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bradley University in Peoria, IL and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Wright State University in Dayton, OH.
